UV-BioTAG™

microbiologics-logo.png

UV-BioTAG microorganisms contain a Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) marker that produces fluorescence of the culture visible under UV light. This allows for easy differentiation of these control strains from contaminants. UV-BioTAG Vial kits include six vials each containing one lyophilized pellet of an individual microorganism strain.

Highlights

  • Easy to distinguish standard microorganism strains from laboratory control strains

  • GFP marker is integrated into the chromosome rather than the plasmid

  • Quickly and reliably establish whether a positive test result can be traced back to a control strain cross-contamination issue

  • Drawback – Qualitative rather than Quantitative – Custom option
