UV-BioTAG microorganisms contain a Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) marker that produces fluorescence of the culture visible under UV light. This allows for easy differentiation of these control strains from contaminants. UV-BioTAG Vial kits include six vials each containing one lyophilized pellet of an individual microorganism strain.
Easy to distinguish standard microorganism strains from laboratory control strains
GFP marker is integrated into the chromosome rather than the plasmid
Quickly and reliably establish whether a positive test result can be traced back to a control strain cross-contamination issue
Drawback – Qualitative rather than Quantitative – Custom option
Rapid Lateral Flow Tests
